Intake Year Levels

There are certain year levels at which a specific number of places are allocated. All year levels and campuses are co-educational.

Wheelers Hill Campus

  • Three-year-old kindergartern
  • Pre-preparatory (four-year-old)
  • Year 7
  • Year 9
  • Year 10
  • Year 11

Malvern Campus*

  • Three-year-old kindergarten
  • Pre-preparatory (four-year-old)

Caulfield Campus

  • Year 7
  • Year 9
  • Year 10
  • Year 11

*Students graduating from Malvern Campus at the end of Year 6, progress on to Year 7 at Caulfield Campus.

Enrolment Instructions

1) A $100 application fee is required at time of submission. Please pay via the Application Fee button. Select “Other School Payments”. On the next page choose “Application For Enrolment Fee” for the campus at which you are applying. Please note down the receipt number once payment is submitted. You will need this for the application form.

2) Return to this page and begin the application process via the Apply Now button.
Documents required:
– Photocopy of Birth certificate (if available)
– Photocopy of passport (required only if student born overseas)
– Australian visa (if applicable)

3) Please ensure you have submitted both the payment and the application form. You will receive an email immediately confirming submission.

What Happens Next

On receipt of the application, the student will be added to waiting lists for the requested entry levels.

The School normally enrols students one year in advance for Primary intake years, or three years in advance for entry to Year 7. Enrolment for Years 9, 10 and 11 are normally confirmed one year in advance.

As places become available, the Admissions team will contact parents to arrange an enrolment interview.

Places are offered following interview and subsequently confirmed in writing by the Head of Campus. Upon accepting a place at Caulfield Grammar School, you will be required to pay the Confirmation of Enrolment Fee. The fee is currently $2000 per student.

A 10% reduction of the $2,000 Confirmation of Enrolment Fee applies for second or subsequent brothers and sisters enrolled. The Confirmation of Enrolment Fee consists of an Enrolment Fee ($1,000) and a $1,000 pre-payment on the first instalment of the Tuition Fees. In the event that a student withdraws their enrolment prior to commencing, the $2,000 Confirmation of Enrolment Fee is non-refundable.

Our Enrolment Policy

Caulfield Grammar School is coeducational and will endeavour to provide gender balance* across all year levels.  Waitlists are developed by date of application, however priority of admission is as follows:
1. to siblings of current students,
2. to children of Caulfield Grammar School alumni,
3. to the children of permanent staff members.

*Please Note: Caulfield Grammar School currently operates with an exemption to the Equal Opportunity Act to enable the structuring of waiting lists to ensure greater gender balance in our coeducational school.
