Our youngest learners are keen observers and explorers of the world around them and our experienced teachers aim to foster this in their learning. Inspired by philosophies such as the Reggio Emilia education project and the Forest schools, our Kindergarten curriculum framework engages children in inquiry based learning and wondering.
Learning is guided by our highly qualified team of educators who provide a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment. Alongside the development of key skills in literacy and numeracy, our young girls and boys develop understandings through exploring their environment, creating, communicating and documenting.
The addition of specialist classes such as Physical Education and the Perceptual Motor Programme (PMP), Music and Library, enrich the Kindergarten program. Children are also exposed to language learning as they participate in weekly Chinese language lessons. And as part of the wider Caulfield Grammar community, our learners join in a range of campus experiences including the ‘buddy’ program, cultural events and assemblies.
The daily program is supported by an excellent Before and After School Care program.
