Jayne Hart

Director of people and culture

Jayne has led the People and Culture team at Caulfield Grammar since 2011. Her focus is on attracting, motivating, developing and retaining the best talent from the diversity the world offers, and building an inspiring values-based culture and a diverse workforce where every employee is valued and succeeds together. Our inspiring employees inspire our students best.

Jayne is an experienced Human Resources strategist with a track record of leading high-level strategy and translating it into detailed implementation. She has extensive experience operating at a senior level in ‘start-up’, dynamic, complex, and growing organisations that have a public profile.

Passionate about supporting culture shifts within organisations, Jayne conducted a national strategic review of HR and volunteer functions at the Australian Red Cross as the Head of People and Learning. Another career highlight was as the Human Resources and Recruitment Manager for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Corporation, where she led the build, delivery, and disassembly of over 2,500 staff. This was a demanding and complex role that operated in an environment of uncompromising deadlines, and required the balancing of numerous stakeholder expectations, including government and media.

Prior to this, Jayne was the HR Manager at United Customer Management Solutions (now AEGIS) – a dynamic start up organisation that experienced rapid growth. Her career commenced in the oil and resources sector, working with BP Australia as a graduate and then HR Manager in Melbourne and Brisbane. Jayne holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and Human Resources) from Monash University, is an Accredited Executive Coach (University of New South Wales) and Accredited MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) practitioner.

Jayne encourages the hopeful voices and wisdom of those that have solutions for the global warming emergency, and spends her private time enjoying walks in the natural environment while improving her photography and art.
