Learning Projects win prestigious global education design awards! | Caulfield Grammar School

Caulfield Grammar’s Learning Project buildings have been awarded a prestigious global education design award. The announcement was made at an award ceremony in Atlanta, USA on 28 October.

Caulfield Grammar and Hayball, the school’s architects for the project, jointly took out the top accolade for education design globally – the Association for Learning Environments’ James D MacConnell Award.

Congratulations to our teachers for their collaboration with our architects.  Over 20 teaching staff worked with designers to produce an outstanding educational facility that supports contemporary teaching and learning practices and many others have contributed to our understanding of how this design can positively impact on students’ learning.

The building continues Caulfield’s commitment to be at the forefront of educational change.  Our primary focus is driving creativity and innovation but with a focus on having our students as ‘owners’ of their own learning and to equip them well for the future.

The buildings, across our three metropolitan campuses, provide a visible expression of contemporary learning and have provided the basis for the extension to the Hoult Centre on Caulfield Campus and the Band C Cluster at Wheelers Hill.  It has also provided the inspiration and basis for the renewal of classroom furniture at Malvern and Nanjing Campuses.
