Class of 2025 Valedictory Week

In October, our Year 12 Class of 2025 reached a significant milestone as they embarked on the final chapter of their school journey. The week marked the conclusion of classes, the final Year 12 Reflection Chapel and Valedictory Assembly, and a series of heartfelt goodbyes – moments that were both celebratory and deeply reflective.

As the cohort prepared for their exams and the many pathways that awaited them beyond the School gates, we wished them the best for the journey ahead.

At Speech Night, Principal Ashleigh Martin captured the spirit of the moment, reflecting on the lessons that shape students long after their final day of classes:

“School is a series of lessons – good and bad, in and out of the classroom. Year 12s, you’re here because of the lessons you’ve learned. They shape who you are. Failure is a bruise, not a tattoo.

For many of you, the journey through to Year 12 – especially following the pandemic years – has been full of challenges. But those bruises help shape you. They don’t stay forever; they help build your character. The lessons you’ve learned here will shape the rest of your life.

This year I know many friendship groups have had to lean in and support one another through challenging moments – social issues, adversity and change – and you’ve been great friends to each other. It’s your peers, the ones who show up for you every day, who stand by you when there’s noise – that’s what real character looks like.”

The Class of 2025 leaves with much to be proud of – not only for their academic achievements, but for the resilience, empathy and strength of character they have shown throughout their time at the School.
