Sports Highlights – Semester 2

AFL Rookie Draftee

Congratulations to Ollie Greeves (Class of 2025), pick #12 AFL Rookie Draftee for the Hawthorn Football Club. This achievement caps off a magnificent junior career with Caulfield and Eastern Rangers. Ollie was part of Eastern’s Premiership team, Vic Metro side, where he was awarded their Most Valuable Player, coming runner-up in the Larke Medal and an All Australian. Always a Caulfield Grammarian, Go Fields, Go Ollie!

Touch Football

Congratulations to our First Boys Touch Football team who won the John Hendland Cup 🏆 A special shout-out to Year 10s Angus and Luke who were selected in the team of the tournament.

Congratulations to the following girls who competed in the Touch Football National Youth Championships for the VIC Storm teams.

U14 Girls: Frankie (Year 7), Ella (Year 8), Scarlett (Year 7)
U16 Girls: Georgie (Year 9), Liv (Year 8), Frankie (Year 7), Ella (Year 8) Scarlett (Year 7)
U18 Girls: Chloe Potts (Year 11)

Hockey

Grace (Year 8) competed for the Victorian State team in the Hockey Australia Under 14 Championships in Brisbane in October. The team played 8 matches in 7 days and finished 5th out of 12 teams.
Grace was awarded player of the match against the Western Australian Team! 

Victorian Speed Skating

Ben Randall (Year 9) competed in the Victorian Speed Skating Championships, winning a silver 🥈and bronze 🥉medal in the Outdoor competition and a gold 🥇silver 🥈and bronze 🥉in the Indoor Competition.

Ben also competed in the Junior Men Category (15–19 years old) at only 14 years old, meaning he was the youngest skater in the division. He will be competing at Nationals in January 2026.
