About

Set on the hillside with views to the Dandenong Ranges, Wheelers Hills Campus opened in 1981 and was Caulfield Grammar School’s first co-educational campus. This independent school, with continuity of learning from Early Learning to Year 12, has a strong community focus with an inclusive and nurturing environment for students and their families and lots of ways for families to get involved via our active Parents & Friends Group.

Approximately 1,560 students enjoy the innovative and extensive programs, co-educational activities and facilities the campus has to offer. These include:

  • A state-of-the-art Early Learning Centre with best-practice play-based learning and access to all Campus facilities. The ELC is also next door to Jells Park, which our ELC students visit weekly.
  • A new Junior School development shortlisted for an Australian Education Design Award for its future-focused learning environment spaces.
  • Tinker Alley, a popular outdoor nature play zone where ELC and Junior School children engage in STEM-based play that develops their creativity, curiosity and resourcefulness.
  • Award-winning library shared across Junior and Secondary schools offering a quiet place to read and learn, a beautiful reading garden, and lunchtime clubs and activities.
  • Extensive sporting facilities including gyms, multiple ovals, a 25m indoor swimming pool, tennis, netball and basketball courts, and a rock-climbing wall.
  • 650-seat professional theatre for assemblies, music concerts, special events and student productions such as Matilda: The Musical.
  • Dedicated performing arts and visual arts studios, galleries and spaces.
  • Learning guided by the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) (Prep–Year 6) and IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) in Years 7 to 9.
