Earlier this year, Caulfield Grammar School proudly celebrated the achievements of our Class of 2025 at a Scholars Assembly.
In total we recognised 62 Scholars who achieved an outstanding ATAR of 98 or above, celebrating both their academic excellence and their wide-ranging contributions to School life. We are immensely proud of these students and the dedication, balance and character they have shown throughout their schooling.
A highlight of the ceremony was a reflection from author, podcaster and 2025 Scholar Annie Zhou:
‘Embrace every opportunity you can. Be the first to volunteer. Put your hand up for leadership roles. If there’s a program, a competition, a project that interests you even slightly, give it real consideration.
I started my podcast in Year 11, which is supposedly one of the most stressful times in school. But having something I cared about outside of schoolwork gave me perspective, kept me motivated, and honestly made me a more well-rounded person. I realised that the students who burn out aren’t usually the ones doing too much, they’re the ones doing nothing but study with no sense of purpose behind it.
And that ties into something bigger – get comfortable being uncomfortable. The people who end up doing remarkable things aren’t the ones who never failed. They’re the ones who failed and kept going anyway.’
Academic colours were also awarded to the top 10% of students across all subjects in Years 9, 10 and 11, celebrating their achievements and contribution across all aspects of School.
