The Role

Deputy Head of Kakadu Program provides on-site leadership for the day-to-day operation and strategic delivery of the Kakadu Program. They work closely with the Head of Kakadu Program, the Kakadu Program Lead Teacher and staff of each program to lead successful delivery and manage programmatic opportunities and challenges as they arise.

The Deputy Head of Kakadu Program leads both preventative and responsive approaches to student wellbeing, behaviour, and critical incidents, ensuring decisions align with school policies, educational priorities. A central aspect of the role is the provision of strong pastoral leadership, with responsibility for fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment that prioritises student wellbeing. This includes oversight of wellbeing practices, early identification and response to student needs, and ensuring appropriate care, support, and follow-up in both routine and high-risk situations.

The Role

Kakadu Program Teachers are residential educators, based remotely in the township of Jabiru to support the School’s Programs in the Northern Territory. Kakadu Program Teachers are experts for the Kakadu Programs. KPTs work closely with students at various stages of their program.  KPTs deliver learning units that sit alongside the experiential components of the program.

The Role

The Kakadu Program Operations Coordinator is responsible for the effective operational coordination of the Kakadu Program, ensuring that facilities, vehicles, accommodation, equipment, logistics, procurement, finance, communications and administrative systems support the safe and successful delivery of all learning experience. The role works closely with program staff, students, families and community partners to maintain high operational standards, foster positive relationships, and uphold the reputation of Caulfield Grammar School within the Kakadu community.
