Caulfield Grammar School is a leading music school in Australia.
An innovative program offers students excellent opportunities in solo and ensemble performance. Our School’s various bands, orchestras, ensembles and choirs perform at regular concerts and assemblies, eisteddfods, festivals and productions.
Music auditions will commence in early February, and all applicants will be notified at the conclusion of the be audition and interview process. Results of Scholarships are confidential and are not released by the School. Please do not send copies of your child’s School Reports to Caulfield Grammar School. This information will be requested from short-listed candidates at the time of interview.
All applications should be submitted online. Audition selections are based on the information contained in the application and will be arranged with short-listed applicants after the close of all applications. Please note that there is no scholarship availability for Year 8 in 2024.
As a guide, applicants should have completed a minimum AMEB grade or equivalent:
• For Year 7 entry: AMEB Grade 3 for Voice
• For Years 9 and 10 entry: AMEB Grade 4 for Voice
Scholarship recipients will be expected to display exemplary commitment, enthusiasm, and contribution to a core ensemble each year and provide leadership within the ensemble program. Music scholars are required to continue their private weekly instrumental/vocal tuition each year, including Year 12. In accepting a scholarship offer, students must complete VCE Music (Solo or Group Performance) as part of their VCE Course.
