Student Leaders Seal Time Capsule

In a significant milestone for Caulfield Campus, student leaders from the Class of 2025, working in collaboration with the 2026 Co-Captains, joined Principal Ashleigh Martin and Head of Campus Meg Adem to seal a Time Capsule in the new Senior School building. The Capsule will remain unopened until 2050, preserving a snapshot of Campus life for future generations.

The Time Capsule project was designed to capture not only how the Campus looks, but how it feels to be part of the Caulfield Grammar community at this point in its history – reflecting on both everyday moments and major milestones that have shaped the Campus over time.

A thoughtfully curated collection of items was placed inside the Capsule, including a quilt made from pieces of the School uniform, a Nanjing Campus jumper and a Shelford uniform, symbolising the shared identity of the wider Caulfield community. Other items include a Morcom Boarding House T-shirt featuring the names of students from the Classes of 2024 and 2025, signed by the Head of Boarding and Assistant Head of Boarding; photographs of daily Campus life taken by Alexandra Moore (Class of 2024); written reflections from Principal Ashleigh Martin, the 2025 Co-Captains and other staff and students; House badges; and a USB documenting the construction of the new Senior School building.

Led by 2025 Co-Captain Madi Kwok and supported by the incoming 2026 Co-Captains, this student-driven initiative ensures the legacy of the Class of 2025 – their character, experiences and lessons learned – will be preserved for future students.

When the Time Capsule is opened in 2050, it will offer a meaningful insight into the people, stories and spirit that defined Caulfield Campus in this era.
