Four Caulfield Grammar School students have been named in the first round AFL Draft. Representing the School’s commitment to sport, its outstanding coaches and dedicated students, the four students come from both Caulfield and Wheelers Hill campuses.
We congratulate Will, Elijah, Bailey and Harry and wish them all the best for their exciting new chapters.
Wheelers Hill Year 12 Will Phillips is the #3 AFL Draft pick! The new North Melbourne player has lived & breathed footy all his life. Respected at School, he’s been involved in everything from Festival of the Arts to House Chess and is a 2020 School Co-Captain.
Class of 2019 Elijah Hollands (below right) is the #7 AFL Draft pick and is joining the Gold Coast Suns! A boarding student at Caulfield Campus, Elijah was active in House activities and received colours in service, football, cricket and touch football.
Wheelers Hill Year 12 Bailey Laurie is the #22 AFL Draft pick and headed to Melbourne! An active member of his House and his School, Bailey’s interests have seen him involved in debating, leadership, the arts and competing in APS Athletics.
Year 11 boarding student Harry Sharp is the #43 AFL Draft pick and is off to Brisbane. Joining Caulfield Campus this year has meant many disruptions for Harry but he’s stayed active, participating in House Swimming and Athletics on top of footy.
