Strong demand from families has prompted Caulfield Grammar School to introduce a Year 3 class at Shelford Campus in 2028, creating a new opportunity to join its growing junior school community.

Opening in 2027, Shelford Campus brings together the character of its historic setting with Caulfield Grammar School’s approach to learning and wellbeing. The addition of Year 3 in 2028 will give more families the opportunity to begin their child’s school journey at Shelford Campus.

For Deputy Principal – Head of Shelford Campus, Sarah Salter, the announcement is an opportunity to build on the connections already forming within the campus community.

“We are delighted to create this additional opportunity for families to join Shelford Campus,” Sarah says. “Our focus is on building a community where every child feels they belong, is encouraged to be curious and develops the solid foundations and confidence to take the next step in their learning.”

Year 3 is a time of growing independence, when children deepen their skills, develop friendships and discover new interests. At Shelford Campus, this stage will form part of a broader Caulfield Grammar School education that connects learning, wellbeing and experiences beyond the classroom.

Guided by the School’s Mind for Life philosophy, students will be encouraged to explore their capabilities and grow as learners and people.

Located just 800 meters from Caulfield Campus, Shelford also offers families a connected junior school pathway into secondary education at Caulfield Grammar School.
