Malvern Campus came together for this year’s House Music competition, with students from Prep to Year 6 taking to the stage in a vibrant showcase of singing, movement and teamwork.
With the theme Aussie Icons, the event celebrated Australian music, culture and creativity through an energetic series of performances. From the youngest students performing in front of a large audience for the first time to experienced soloists stepping confidently into the spotlight, every student played a part in bringing the event to life.
The performances were a testament to the enthusiasm, preparation and talent of our students. Across each House presentation, students demonstrated impressive musicality, stage presence and collaboration, while embracing the opportunity to perform under bright lights and in front of hundreds of family members, peers and staff.
Particularly inspiring was the courage shown by our Prep students and solo performers, who approached the stage with confidence and determination, contributing to a memorable afternoon of entertainment and House spirit.
Adding a special dimension to the event was the judging panel, which included Music Director Simon Walter and our Caulfield Campus Music Co-Captains. Their involvement highlighted the strong connections between our Junior and Secondary School campuses and provided students with valuable encouragement and recognition from experienced musicians and student leaders.
No House Music event would be complete without the much-anticipated staff performance, and this year’s rendition of Dance Monkey was a crowd favourite. Staff embraced the spirit of the occasion, delighting students and families with an energetic performance that had the audience cheering along.
Congratulations to all students for their outstanding performances and the enthusiasm they brought to this year’s event. Their talent, courage and commitment were on full display, making for a truly memorable showcase of music and performance.
