Our Duces – Thomas Xiao and Timothy Xiao

Twins Thomas and Timothy, from Wheelers Hill Campus, achieved an outstanding ATAR of 99.95. They are two of only 39 students across Victoria to achieve this ranking, and we congratulate them on this wonderful accomplishment.

Thomas and Timothy have been actively involved in School community activities, representing Caulfield Grammar with pride as Open Day and Campus Tour student guides and participating with enthusiasm in House events and competitions including Chess, Cross Country, Table Tennis, Athletics and Trivia.

They look forward to their next challenge at The University of Melbourne, where they have both received prestigious Melbourne Chancellor’s Scholarships to study Commerce.

Thomas Xiao

Thomas commenced at Caulfield Grammar School in Year 7 and has made a positive and significant contribution to our School community, representing the School in the Badminton 1st VIII since Year 9 and leading the team as Vice-Captain in Year 12. This year he received Triple Colours for Badminton and was the recipient of the 2023 School Prize for English and Mathematics, Certificate of Excellence (Silver), Class Academic Achievement Award (English), Outstanding Academic Achievement Awards (Physics / Specialist Mathematics) and Triple Academic Colours re-awarded. In Year 11 he was the recipient of a General Excellence Award.

Timothy Xiao

Timothy also commenced at Caulfield Grammar School in Year 7 and has been an active and enthusiastic member of the School community. As well as being awarded Triple Colours for Badminton and representing APS in the Badminton 1st VIII, he received numerous academic awards this year including the School Prize for Mathematics, the Lyle Buntine Memorial Prize for Science, a Certificate of Excellence (Silver), Outstanding Academic Achievement Awards (English / Specialist Mathematics), Triple Colours Academic, Class Academic Achievement Awards (Chemistry / English), a Medal Award for ICAS (International Competitions and Assessments for Schools) and General Excellence Awards (Years 11 and 12).

Our VCE results and learning experiences and achievements from across the School can be reviewed in the Celebrating 2023 booklet.

Thank you again to our wonderful teachers and staff who guide and enable our students each day to explore their passions and strengths to find their individual pathway.

Our very best wishes to our entire Class of 2023 as they venture out beyond our School gates. ‘Once a Grammarian, always a Grammarian’ – we look forward to staying connected and seeing where your personal journey takes you.
