An environment to innovate and grow
“There is nothing more important to me than leading a school where everybody can genuinely find their own path, be themselves and thrive.”
Ashleigh Martin – Principal
Caulfield Grammar School is a place where you can be authentic, where everyone is valued and the contributions of all are acknowledged. Our leaders inspire with their actions.
Caulfield Grammar School is unparalleled in the breadth of local and international professional experiences and diverse employment opportunities for educators and professionals across our campuses.
We are dedicated to creating an environment that encourages a culture of continuous learning and supports innovative education methods – a place where you can do your best work.
We are our culture
At Caulfield Grammar School we’re all working towards the same objectives with passion and authenticity. Our strong 140-year heritage provides the intrinsic values, vision and purpose that form the foundation of our Strategy Plan 2031, based on our guiding principle of Mind for Life.
Our culture is defined by our five values: Pursuing Excellence, Inspiring Creativity, Thriving Together, Embracing Diversity, and Living Wholeheartedly. These values guide the way we work together and behave. Active interaction with these values supports our students and staff in having clarity and ownership about what it means to be a member of the Caulfield Grammar School community – how we treat each other, and what we expect from each other.
This creates an inclusive and supportive environment and School community, inspiring our students, their families, and our employees.
Each of our 1,000 employees have more than a job at Caulfield Grammar School; they have a career. We are dedicated to creating an environment that encourages a culture of continuous learning and supports innovative education methods – a place where you can do your best work.
For teachers, our weekly strategic professional development helps grow and build skills. This healthy balance of support and autonomy is all about helping our teachers work the best way they can.
Campus support and shared services employees are encouraged to pursue professional development and co-curricular programs that will feed their passion and enhance their skills.
A multi-campus co-educational school
There are many opportunities to learn from each other and advance your career with over 1,000 colleagues. Each campus has its own unique feel and environment, and our employees are encouraged to explore their passions, whether professional or personal. There are opportunities to be part of the School community through involvement in activities such as camp leadership, charitable initiatives, sport coaching, music and drama productions and mentoring.
Our focus on wellbeing
Long before ‘wellbeing’ became a buzzword, we’ve been committed to looking after the wellbeing of our employees, students and everyone in our School community. It’s the cornerstone of who we are and what we do.
While it’s part of our culture, we also have tangible tools like Workday to help make life easier as an employee. We embrace flexible working and offer free counselling sessions through our Employee Assistance Program.
There are a variety of employee engagement opportunities within campus communities and School-wide – not to mention excellent facilities you can utilise for a healthy body to support a healthy mind.
